Who We Are

Nina is a qualified Teacher and Social Worker from South London, dedicated to supporting children to achieve their goals and overcome challenges. Her commitment to education is rooted in her family history, as both her late grandmother and mother were teachers.

Her academic background in Psychology and Journalism provided a strong foundation for understanding learning, communication, and child development. She began her career as a Teaching Assistant in a local Primary School, supporting children with Global Delay and ASD, and later expanded her international experience by teaching at a school in India.

On returning to the UK, she gained additional professional experience in the financial sector, where she developed organisational, leadership, and management skills as both a Chartered Banker and Assistant Store Manager. However, her earlier teaching experiences and time abroad reinforced her commitment to working with children.

She went on to teach in primary schools for several years, while also serving as a staff Governor within her school federation, contributing to both the Quality of Education and Resources Committees.

In 2019, she launched her own tutoring business, which quickly adapted to remote learning during the pandemic. Over the following years, she provided personalised tuition for children from Reception through to KS3, laying the foundations for what would become Invigorate Education.

After leaving mainstream teaching, she worked as a Nurture Teacher in a Social, Emotional and Mental Health school, where she deepened her understanding of the positive impact education can have on children with additional needs.

Following this, she qualified as a Social Worker and gained experience across several teams within her Local Authority, including the Multi-Agency Safeguarding Hub, the Assessment and Intervention Team and the Children with Disabilites Team. This work has given her a holistic understanding of children and their families, offering insight into the wide range of factors that affect a child’s development, learning, and overall wellbeing. These experiences have strengthened her belief that every child, regardless of circumstance or ability, deserves access to the right educational support, which remains central to the mission of Invigorate Education.

With a wealth of experience spanning education, social care, and family support, Nina brings a unique perspective and an unwavering commitment to helping children thrive. This vision continues to be the driving force behind the creation of Invigorate Education.

Hayley Boothe

Co-Founder & Director

Hayley is an educator from London with experience across various educational settings.

Her initial interest in early years and education was hugely influenced by her mum, who is an educator in early years. The insight that she gained through her mum's work is what encouraged her to attend university and gain a degree in Early Childhood Studies.

On completing her degree, Hayley knew that she wanted to take her studies further but was not sure in what direction. After taking a year out to work across retail, nursery and as a teaching assistant, she decided that her passion lay within education.

Hayley completed her teacher training course with Harris ITT and Kingston University and continued on with Harris as a KS2 teacher.

As someone who has always loved an adventure and of no surprise to her family and friends, Hayley decided that she would pack up and move abroad to teach. In her 2 years abroad, Hayley gained valuable experience as a KS1 teacher, year group leader, coach and mentor.

Having witnessed the transformative power of a nurturing and supportive environment on a young person's growth and development, being approached by Nina to join her in bringing life to Invigorate Education, has been a true privilege. Suitably, allowing the opportunity to ensure that more young people have access to quality educational experiences throughout their lives.
